Does Your Website Stand Out in a Crowd?

You may not have heard the term "favicons," but if you spend time on the Web, you've seen plenty of them. Favicons are tiny images (16 x 16 pixels) that represent your website or blog as visitors surf between websites.

The image above shows several tabs open in a web browser window. Each tab has a favicon to the left of its title.

We routinely provide our clients with a favicon (short for "favorite icon") for websites we develop. Favicons enable website visitors to quickly locate your site among several open browser tabs (or among several bookmarked websites in the bookmark/favorite list). And being visitor-friendly is a top priority for any website!

A favicon, as an extension of your organization's brand, is usually a simplified version of your logo, your website colors or other website imagery.
